Description
Sometimes described as the Dr Seuss lights, these playful light poles show the way for pedestrians and bicyclists from Rutherford Ave. in Charlestown down a pedestrian and bicycle passage to Miller's RIver, and then along this tributary to the Charles River. The shape of these distinct light poles was actually inspired by the loading davits used along wharf in this area to unload boats in the 19th Century.
