Internships
In the summer of 2002, cultureNOW began a student internship program with a group of City College Students. That internship was formalized in 2003. It proved so successful that CultureNOW matriculates a class of student interns every summer. We typically take on several college students. The internships last 8-10 weeks from early June through mid August. They are full time positions and are project based. Students work on current mapping, exhibition or website/smartphone projects. Beginning in 2012, mid-winter internships are also offered in Boston for 3 weeks in January coinciding with the J-term break.

“It is amazing to see how much cultureNOW has accomplished for New York City. My internship there gave me the chance to understand how vast and diverse the cultural resources of our city really are.”
David Andersson, Harvard University
Student Intern, 2005
“My internship with cultureNOW helped me to understand how the skills I am learning in the classroom apply to the professional design world. The variety of projects I was able to work on and the amiable nature of the project team made every day at work different, fulfilling and just plain fun.”
Courtney Williams, University of Pennsylvania
Student Intern, 2011
“I went to cultureNOW with little or no graphic design experience. I was able to start from scratch and understand cultureNOW’s projects quickly. It was a very easy learning environment.”
Rebecca Cooper, Harvard University
Student Intern, 2007
